The Train’N’Treat Christmas Calendar gives you and your dog 24 joyful, easy-to-do activities that strengthen your bond, build everyday skills and bring more fun into training.
Each day unlocks a new “door” — a new game or exercise that gradually gets more challenging.
You’ll need only your Train’N’Treat treat dispenser and your dog’s favorite treats.
Structure of the Calendar

Day 1 – Christmas Kickoff: First Treat!
Let your dog explore the device. Reward as soon as they look at it or approach.
Goal: build curiosity and positive association.
Day 2 – The Power of Eye Contact
Sit on the floor. When your dog looks at you — press the button, treat flies!
Goal: strengthen focus and connection.
Day 3 – Sit and Stay for Success
Ask for a sit, wait one second before rewarding.
Goal: build patience and self-control.
Day 4 – Indoor Treat Hunt
Hide the device in another room and let your dog find it.
Goal: problem solving and nose use.
Day 5 – Outdoor Treat Hunt (easy)
Place the device outside in plain sight and let your dog find it.
Goal: transition to a new environment.
Day 6 – Follow the Leader
Walk slowly around your home. Reward when your dog stays by your side.
Goal: improve engagement and movement focus.
Day 7 – Scent Game: Find the Toy
Hide your dog’s favorite toy near the device. When they find it — treat!
Goal: link scent detection to reward.
Day 8 – Under the Furniture
Partially hide the device under a sofa or table.
Goal: courage and problem-solving.
Day 9 – Scent Discrimination
Hide three small containers — only one with a treat.
Goal: concentration and precision.
Day 10 – Outdoor Scent Challenge
Hide the device behind a bush or rock.
Goal: focus under distractions.
Day 11 – Recall at Home
Call your dog from one room to another and reward through the device.
Goal: quick response and happy recall.
Day 12 – Recall from Yard to Indoors
Call your dog inside — treat dispenses when they arrive.
Goal: reinforce everyday recall.
Day 13 – Forest Recall (short distance)
Call your dog in a natural setting and reward instantly.
Goal: strengthen recall in nature.
Day 14 – Recall with Distraction
Practice calling your dog past another person or dog.
Goal: self-control under excitement.
Day 15 – Long-Distance Recall
Call your dog from far away and reward via Train’N’Treat.

Ask your dog to settle on their bed, reward when relaxed.
